Preview of a soon to be submitted Class Q conversion of an historic barn into a large family home in rural Shropshire. The project sees the next phase of the transformation of the family estate, including a previously refurbished farmhouse and converted outbuildings arranged around a courtyard to the rear.
The aim is to take a light touch approach with interventions that are sensitive to the historic built fabric, whilst providing a modern, energy efficient family home.
Coupled to this is a cohesive landscaping strategy that ties the buildings to their setting, whilst allowing views out across their agrarian surroundings.
New features include a walled orchard, timber entrance canopy, a double height vaulted living space and large corner window affording unobstructed views into the distance.
